The Mullis Family Circus

Welcome to our blog! I have started referring to our family as a constant three ring circus. With four children, separated by six years, two dogs, a husband who works A LOT, and a mom who never has time to finish anything and always has multiple things going at the same time, it's amazing this blog ever gets updated at all!! However, I do try to keep it as updated as possible because I LOVE to look at it to see what we were doing in the past, and I like having a place that all of our friends and family can reference to keep up with us. Bookmark us and check back to see what we're up to. With this crew, it is always something! (Please excuse typos! One day I'm going to go back and fix them! I'm always in such a hurry to post that I usually don't proofread. The English major in me dies every time I go through and see all of the typos, but the busy mom in me says, "I'll fix it when I have time!" So, look for corrections in , let's say, 20 years or so!!!)

Nichols-Boyd Pumpkin Patch

Levi picking out his pumpkin.

Levi coming back after running away from me!

I tried to get a good picture of him here, but he would NOT look at the camera. He just wanted to get down.

He's on the hayride drinking his water.

I braved the elements with both kids today for a hayride, pumpkin picking, animal seeing, and lunch eating adventure. Poor Ellie Ruth was a real trooper. She stayed in the Baby Bjorn the whole time and slept. Therefore, there are NO pictures of her! (I can't believe it, well, actually I can.)

Levi is in a very non-photogenic stage. He does not want to sit still long enough to have his picture made, and he anticipates the flash, even when there's not one. Therefore, the pictures of our trip are not great. However, we had a good time.

I learned that I was standing in the middle of an ant bed when I started getting bitten. So, there I was, in the middle of a field, with a baby on my tummy (so I couldn't see the ground under or in front of me), holding onto Levi, with my shoes swarming with ants! I immediately kicked my shoes off and threw Levi a few feet away. My shoes were covered, and I got lots of bites. But, thankfully, they didn't seem to get Levi. We got home and all needed baths. Needless to say, I am now exhausted!

Levi is checking out the tractor and the pumpkins.
