For Levi's birthday, we went to the Macon Museum of Arts and Sciences, where they had some really neat exhibits. In the first one, you got to listen to all kinds of sounds and learn how sounds are made. (It was right up Corbin's alley since they had a section on artificial voice boxes and stuff.) The kids' favorite thing was a jam room. It was super neat. It had all kinds of instruments, along with a working microphone. It was a sound proof booth, and the acoustics were great. They could have stayed in there making music all day. Then, there was a small exhibit on how things work, machines, electricity, magnets, etc. Finally, they had that "thing from Space Camp". (That's what I call it!) Levi and I tried it. It was really neat. Levi LOVED going there for his birthday. Afterward, we ate at the Rookery, which was delicious, too!
Upon the kids' request, the lady brought Georgia out for a special birthday visit! Her screeches scared Lorelei to death, but the other kids loved her, as usual!!
Levi wanted a Wild Kratts cake, so he got one. I ordered a sugar sheet for the first time, but it turned out great!! He loved it!
I think Ellie Ruth and Gray were as excited as he was!
I made cupcakes for Levi's class again. He wanted sharks, and they turned out really good, too. Although, by the time I made it to his class, they had all fallen off of the stand and were very messed up. The kids didn't care, thank goodness!!
I think Levi had a pretty good birthday! He got lots of Legos, including Chima and Ninja Turtles.
