The Mullis Family Circus

Welcome to our blog! I have started referring to our family as a constant three ring circus. With four children, separated by six years, two dogs, a husband who works A LOT, and a mom who never has time to finish anything and always has multiple things going at the same time, it's amazing this blog ever gets updated at all!! However, I do try to keep it as updated as possible because I LOVE to look at it to see what we were doing in the past, and I like having a place that all of our friends and family can reference to keep up with us. Bookmark us and check back to see what we're up to. With this crew, it is always something! (Please excuse typos! One day I'm going to go back and fix them! I'm always in such a hurry to post that I usually don't proofread. The English major in me dies every time I go through and see all of the typos, but the busy mom in me says, "I'll fix it when I have time!" So, look for corrections in , let's say, 20 years or so!!!)

November Happenings

We have had so much fun over the past couple of weeks. The kids are so funny, and they are constantly keeping us on our toes.

Ellie Ruth LOVES to play "Ride the horsie" with Grandpa.

Uncle Nich takes Ellie Ruth for a death-defying ride-- which she loves!

All of the kids love the swingset at the photographer's house. We let them play because they were so good during their photo session.
Grandmama helped keep Ellie Ruth under control as she wanted to run around every where in her new dress.

Ellie Ruth LOVED opening and shutting the gate. But, how can you resist a face like that???
We went to visit Joe and Caroline in Lyman, South Carolina for the Furman game, which GSU won!! Go Eagles! We hope that our kids didn't scare them too much as they await the arrival of their twins. We enjoyed our visit very much and had a great time! We did have one unfortunate incident that I do feel the need to memorialize here. For those of you who have known me for very long, there is a pair of clogs that I bought in college. They are brown with a woven top. I have worn them all winter ever since I got them. While we were at the Furman game, they spontaneously fell apart. I mean literally fell apart. I was walking around on the foam that sits between the sole of the shoe and the rubber outer part. It was very sad. I don't have a picture, but I still haven't thrown them away. Maybe a cobbler could fix them for me!!
Here's Dr. Joe relaxing on the couch.

Caroline is working in the kitchen!
I made Levi a sock puppet, which he loves. We asked him what he wanted to name it, and he said, "Puppet." Despite our efforts to get him to give him a more creative name-- even Mr. Puppet-- he insisted that his name WAS PUPPET! Here, puppet is talking to the dogs who are on the porch.
