The Mullis Family Circus

Welcome to our blog! I have started referring to our family as a constant three ring circus. With four children, separated by six years, two dogs, a husband who works A LOT, and a mom who never has time to finish anything and always has multiple things going at the same time, it's amazing this blog ever gets updated at all!! However, I do try to keep it as updated as possible because I LOVE to look at it to see what we were doing in the past, and I like having a place that all of our friends and family can reference to keep up with us. Bookmark us and check back to see what we're up to. With this crew, it is always something! (Please excuse typos! One day I'm going to go back and fix them! I'm always in such a hurry to post that I usually don't proofread. The English major in me dies every time I go through and see all of the typos, but the busy mom in me says, "I'll fix it when I have time!" So, look for corrections in , let's say, 20 years or so!!!)

1st Day of School

Well, we made it. Day number one is in the books. Levi said it was a great day. He said he threw his tray away when he wasn't supposed to and went and got his book bag when he wasn't supposed to, but he still got a green card (thank goodness!!) Breakfast was his favorite part of the day. Amazingly, we pay for all students to eat free breakfast. So, he got one too. I must say I was glad I had fed him before he went to school since his "breakfast" was Cocoa Puffs and juice. He loved it though, and I guess it wasn't such a bad snack!!! He says he's ready to go back tomorrow. So, we're keeping our fingers crossed for continued green stars and a willingness to continue to attend. Here are some pictures.

On a funny note, we went to meet his teacher on Wednesday. His teacher's name is Mrs. Wilkes, and her assistant's name is Ms. Ginger. Over supper, we asked him if he remembered his teachers' names. He said, "Well, um, Mr. Gingerbread.... (pause with a thoughtful expression). Well, I guess I should call her MISS Gingerbread since she's a girl." It was one of those moments where Corbin nor I could contain our laughter. We blamed it on Gray, and he bought it. But, it WAS hilarious!!

Us before we went in this morning. Ellie Ruth was not happy. She pitched a fit and didn't get her hair fixed before we left.
