The Mullis Family Circus

Welcome to our blog! I have started referring to our family as a constant three ring circus. With four children, separated by six years, two dogs, a husband who works A LOT, and a mom who never has time to finish anything and always has multiple things going at the same time, it's amazing this blog ever gets updated at all!! However, I do try to keep it as updated as possible because I LOVE to look at it to see what we were doing in the past, and I like having a place that all of our friends and family can reference to keep up with us. Bookmark us and check back to see what we're up to. With this crew, it is always something! (Please excuse typos! One day I'm going to go back and fix them! I'm always in such a hurry to post that I usually don't proofread. The English major in me dies every time I go through and see all of the typos, but the busy mom in me says, "I'll fix it when I have time!" So, look for corrections in , let's say, 20 years or so!!!)

Levi and Ellie Ruth with Gray

Ellie Ruth was immediately enamored with her baby brother, as we expected. Levi, on the other hand, didn't know what to think and used an avoidance strategy, as expected also. What we didn't expect was how quickly he "came around." They are both so sweet to him and are genuinely excited about his arrival. We'll see how long it lasts!!

Levi asked to hold Gray last night and was so excited when I let him. He held him for forever and did NOT want to give him up. He reminded me of me. He loved holding that sweet baby.

He was thrilled to hold him. He patted him and talked to him. If Gray slid down a little, he'd ask me to help lift him back up. It was really cute. I really think he held him for about 45 minutes and only reluctantly gave him to his Papa (as shown in the picture above.) Corbin had to tell him it was his turn to hold him in order to get him. Levi would have kept him longer otherwise!


This was the very first time Levi showed interest. Corbin took the kids to "visit" on the bed yesterday afternoon. Levi was so sweet. Ellie Ruth was too rough!!!



This was right when Ellie Ruth saw Gray for the very first time.
